Blue Bronna Painting Ltd- The Company With the Reach

Aerial work accomplished through the use of cranes has been at the core of Blue Bronna Painting since the beginning.  In essence it is who the company is and is what the company is about.

The company with the reach.

The belief in providing fast and efficient solutions to tall structural problems in the agricultural industry has helped set the company apart. The commitment to quality work done in a professional way has helped establish Blue Bronna Painting as a leading painting company in the agricultural industry.

Our Alberta-based company is family-owned and operated, providing our customers with the benefit of personalized customer service. Every detail that goes into a customer’s order reflects a strong commitment to providing our customer with the same service and quality upon which our company’s reputation has been built.

Our Story…

Blue Bronna Painting Ltd was established in December 1987 as a commercial and industrial painting company within the agricultural sector. The company was started by three young men by the names of: Glenn Brown, Dave Penner, and Gerald Petker. These three began the company in order to help pay for post-secondary education as well as to have the ability to help start and fund the creation of a kids Bible camp – Blue Bronna Wilderness Camp.

The company focuses on painting and construction in the agricultural industry across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. The primary services BBP offers are restoration of grain elevators, commercial metal cladding/roofing, and sandblasting and recoating grain and fertilizer bins. Other work completed by the company has included sandblasting and painting anhydrous ammonia tanks, concrete work and construction, and setting up the legs of fertilizer plants.

In the first year of the company, 32 projects in the provinces of Manitoba and Alberta were successfully completed. By year five, BBP had completed over 300 projects and was expanding in territory to include all the Prairie provinces.

After three years Glenn Brown bought out the other two directors and became the soul owner of the company in 1990.  BBP has continued to run under the direction of Glenn and Donna until the Spring of 2022 when a sale was completed.

Steve Campbell, Mark and Kim Cooper have taken over the ownership of the company with Glenn staying on as a consultant for the next couple of years.

The company has deep values in giving back and therefore has continued to help support the camp and college aged students through summer employment opportunities. Overall the mission of BBP, which includes both the work done and the money provided to non-profit organizations, comes from the Bible:  “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as for the Lord.” – Colossians 3:23
